Expanding Stars & Hummingbirds
This wall hanging was made by my mother for my sister’s new house. The pattern is Expanding Stars by Emily Dennis.
When longarming, I used 100% polyester batting since polyester batting holds its shape better than cotton. The pull of being hung on the wall can misshapen the quilt.
She chose the Hummingbirds design/panto to add movement in the large solid spaces and it worked out beautifully. My sister loves it and gets lots of compliments from visitors.
