For my final Senior project at Covenant College I designed and made a quilt. It was based on a grid created by Karl Gerstner. Through the quilt my goal was to find comfort in structure, in design, in mathematics, and in the breaking down of a grid into a pattern of colors and overlapping squares that came together to become something beautiful.

I never imagined that I would eventually start a business providing longarm quilting and other quilting services. I love quilts because they are a symbol and real physical items that communicate love and comfort. We all need that.
